Horizon Academy Students

The average student population at Horizon Academy carries the following diagnoses:

38% Learning Disabilities

36% ADD/HD

17% Autism Spectrum Disorders (i.e. Asperger’s Syndrome or Pervasive Developmental Disorder — Not Otherwise Specified)

9% Other Health Impaired (i.e. Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)

 

 

Admissions
Students with a variety of learning problems and potentially average, average, and above average IQs will be considered for placement. Screenings for placement are at no cost. Interested parents are asked to
contact Horizon Academy for more information.

Interested parents should also send a current psychological report plus a current individual education plan (if the child has one) and any other pertinent information to the school at 4901 Reinhardt Dr. Roeland Park, KS 66205. Once the staff reviews the records, a screening time will be arranged at no charge if Horizon Academy is the appropriate placement for your child.

Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of need. Application for scholarship may be submitted after your child's acceptance beginning in the spring semester for the following academic year.
